Moving prep update

I've got two moving companies coming tomorrow morning for estimates on moving costs. They are coming way too early in the morning (for someone who doesn't get home from work until midnight most nights), but time is growing short, so I took the first available appointments. So, If I'm smart, I'll go to bed right when I get home and there will be no blogging after work tonight.

For the record, no one has ever accused me of being smart, especially when it comes to going to bed early, not wasting time, etc.

I also made an appointment with an eye doctor to get my eyes checked. I know I need new glasses. I've worn glasses since I was 3 or 5.

I don't know what happened. I used to get my eyes checked once a year. But I've only got them checked twice in the last 10 years. I wonder if the fact that my mother no longer schedules my doctor's visits explains why I so rarely see the eye doctor, medical doctor and dentist.

Nah. I think it just means I'm much healthier than I was as a child!

Sounds like you got some things done today. Good for you! Sounds like you need a maid, personal assistant or a wife. Wonder which one would cost less? The Wife for sure! :-) We woman do come in handy from time to time.

Good luck on all the insanity that is about to begin! You really need to see the doc more often. Men!

You think the wife would be less expensive Brat? Haven't I told you about the financial jackpot I found myself in just from getting engaged?

And Lois, I know I should see the doc more often. But I don't want to! And you can't make me!

:-P

OK, maybe I don't so much need a wife as a babysitter.

Thank you both for caring for my well being. I'm sure I'll appreciate it greatly after I check out of the funny farm!

Good luck on your move, G-man. And remember, since you're a packrat, NOW is the best time to rid yourself of some collected trappings. (Yes, I'm a lurker... first time commenting. Though when I get started, it's hard to shut me up; just ask Lois Lane).

Cooter, thanks for the advice, and thanks for clarifying your lurker status. When you made the pack rat comment I thought maybe an ex-girlfriend had found the sight or something!

Yes, I strike fear in the hearts of men. It's one of those sad facts... but naw, I just read the '100 things about me'!

Maybe I should take that 100-things post down. Or at least make up some more flattering details.
