Observations on life from the Left Coast. Rants & ravings on the miscellaneous drivel that is modern existence. Mostly I'm just blundering through midlife as a single guy, absentee parent & all-around introspective insomniac. My most recent challenge has been to get out of debt.

Quirky or silly?
Does anyone else find it odd that in Oregon there is self-service checkout at the grocery store but there are no self-service gas stations?

OHHH! I missed having the gasoline pumped for me! :-) It is odd though. I do tell my husband not to use the self service station in grocery stores; reminding him these little gems are taking away MORE jobs. (What outsourcing hasn't rid this contry of, self-service technology is carving off.)
I did find a solution to having to pump my own gasoline though. (I got married. He takes care of it once a week for me) ;-)
Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend G-Man. Did you manage to get Presidents Day off? The kids did, so I have kids up late again tonight.
Sorry I'm rambling in your comments. I've just missed you!
Wow. And here (in New England) I don't know if there are still any "we pump it for you" stations! Everything here has pretty much gone self-serve. Too bad the prices don't reflect that though.
