Beavers capture enemy territory in Autzen

I give credit to the Ducks. They brought more offense than I expected and made the Civil War Game a battle worthy of the long and intense rivalry that's now lasted for 111 games. It took two overtimes for the Beavers to win and snap a 10-year streak of the home teams winning.

Bravo Beavs and kudos to the wounded Ducks for making it a great contest.

Go Beavs!

Well said, G-Man. And I would add that for a 5th string QB that Roper kid the Ducks stuffed in there is pretty damn good. I'd say he ought to be at least 3rd string and maybe even 2nd if tonight's performance was a good indicator.

Excellent point Kevin, Roper showed a lot of heart and played quite well.
I just watched the rebroadcast on Comcast SportsNet from the Oregon Sports Network. So many things happened in that game. Big moments, mistakes, calls, no-calls. It was filled with drama. But I got a big kick out of the OSN crew saying Oregon State "escaped" with a win. Obviously, I saw it differently, but I got a kick out of the commentary. I liked former Duck and San Diego Charger quarterback Dan Fouts' call of the game much better on ESPN2.
