Elusive sleep

My body clock is all out of whack. I can't seem to sleep at all at night. Didn't fall asleep until nearly 7 a.m. today. And now, I've got to go to work. Ugh! Fortunately, I don't have a job that requires me to go to work at 9 a.m. But still, I'm tired and lethargic. But watch, when I get home tonight around midnight or so, I'll be wide awake.

Maybe it was just too warm in here last night. Maybe I should try closing the windows and turning on the air conditioning to cool the place down. But I don't need to start paying sky high electric bills in April.

I hope I can get out of this pattern soon.

Cool and dark are conducive to sleep for me.

Sometimes when I'm lying there with my eyes closed, yet awake, I try to keep them open instead, and that works because then I really really want to shut them.

I doubt that made sense, but there it is. :)

I have terrible insomnia too...I blogged about it recently. Probably why I'm up at 3 AM tonight. I haven't found a real solution. I have just stopped stressing about it and I have adjusted to being tired during the day. Not the ideal way to live, but the only way I know how.

And to think I felt quilty for keeping you busy till midnight. I hope you were able to get your work done.

Maybe you are starting to sleep like me, the girl that needs no sleep. Actually I need sleep, just short bursts of it. My motto, naps are my specialty!
