Observations on life from the Left Coast. Rants & ravings on the miscellaneous drivel that is modern existence. Mostly I'm just blundering through midlife as a single guy, absentee parent & all-around introspective insomniac. My most recent challenge has been to get out of debt.

Snow in July
We're having a heat wave here in the West, but our nearby mountains here in Oregon offer some cooling imagery.
Breathtaking. One of my favorite activities while I lived in Las Vegas for a short time was to drive up to Mount Charleston where there would be little snow flurries falling onto my sun-burnt shoulders. I got such a kick out of that; just a short drive away and an enormous difference in temperature. Always refreshing.
